HEALTH BENEFITS OF CAMEL MILK FOR KIDS (And Adults)
We’ve given camel milk to many kids (and grown-ups), even kids who said they don't like milk. The overwhelming majority of kids who "don't like milk" actually loved camel milk! It has no “goaty” undertaste like goat milk. You can’t tell it’s not cow milk. (If they’re picky, you can secretly put it in a closed sippy cup or delicious smoothie).
The best part is camel milk has some amazing benefits for children (big and small). We don’t make medical claims for health conditions, but here are some generalized benefits of camel milk.
HAS LESS CHOLESTEROL AND IS GOOD FOR DEVELOPING BRAINS
Camel milk is higher in essential fatty acids than cow milk. It contains less cholesterol yet has the good kind of fat. This fat consists of fewer short-chained fatty acids and high concentrations of volatile acids such as linoleic and polyunsaturated fats. These are especially helpful for brain cell growth.
RICH IN PROTEIN
In Middle Eastern and African cultures, camel milk is considered a whole food. It’s given to sick people as a merciful act. It’s such a good source of protein that herders report living off of it for up to a year. These special proteins can play a vital role in the development of infants and children suffering from malnutrition. Camel milk’s anti-microbial whey proteins are even more heat-resistant than cow or buffalo milk.
GOOD SOURCE OF CALCIUM, VITAMINS AND MINERALS
Camel milk provides calcium to those on dairy-free diets. It generally also contains high levels of potassium, magnesium, iron, copper, manganese and zinc. It also has good amounts of vitamin B compared to cow milk. It has a low amount of vitamin A.

Camel milk contains less lactose than cow milk. It can be a very good alternative for children (and adults) who are lactose-intolerant. If family members have similar issues (or even if they don’t), you can cook and serve everyone with the same milk. It also works for most people on a casein-free diet, as it’s uniquely digestible.
A SAFER ALTERNATIVE TO COW, GOAT, SOY, RICE AND NUT MILK
Research shows camel milk is safe for children. Cow milk contains Beta-lactoglobulin and Beta-casein, allergens that affect many children. Camel milk does not contain these allergens—both human breast milk and camel milk lack Beta-lactoglobulin. Some children may not tolerate cow and goat milk, while others (and adults) react to nut, rice and soy milk. Repeated consumption of these foods can cause allergic response. Rice milk can also contain unsafe arsenic levels for children. Camel milk allergy is extremely rare. Camel milk production is also better for our national water supply than nut and cow milk.

According to research, camel milk can be very helpful in strengthening the human immune system. The immunoglobulins found in camel milk are very small and adaptable to human use.
